Language Services

BTMS Legal started to provide language services to the public as early as 2003. We have experienced NAATI certified translators (Chinese to English and English to Chinese) who can translate all kinds of documents: legal, medical, technical, academic, literary, or personal. We also have NAATI certified interpreters (English-Mandarin and other Chinese dialects) who can attend different settings: legal, medical, education, business and community events for example.

All translation work will be stamped and certified. We can also provide a PDF version of the translation, depending on the client's special requirements. We require clients to provide full or part of the documents for translation in order for us to provide an initial quotation, which is done so under our strict confidentiality policy. Once clients accept our quotation and pay a deposit, we will begin to work within the agreed timeframe and deliver the translation via agreed channels.

For interpreting engagements, normally we require clients to prepay a deposit ahead of delivering the service, if they are new clients of the firm. Details of our fee structure can be found in the following link: Translating and Interpreting Quotation.

We provide translation proofreading services to assist clients with editing, spelling, grammar, terminology selection, and formatting errors in translated documents. We use machine translation tools or manual checking methods to do proofreading.

Transcribing is a type of language technical service that uses machine or manual methods to transcribe audio records or audio parts of a video into text - “Audio-to-text”. Transcription is very important in legal procedures as the transcripts will always help professionals to better understand certain legal evidence.
